Let's Get Together! July 30, 2008
Dear Friend,
The General Election is around the corner and The Josefina M. Rendon Campaign for the 165th District Court is working hard for a victory on Tuesday, November 4th. On the campaign trail I have made several new friends. I truly appreciate the support of so many people in Harris County who believe in me and want a change in our courts.
On Wednesday July 30th, several of my supporters are having a fundraising party at Isla Coqui, a Caribbean Restaurant and Bar. All campaign funds raised will be used to spread our message about the 165th District Court and ensuring that voters go to the booths and vote for Josefina Rendon.
I am working hard to win this campaign, and I will win - with your support. If you want to add your name to my supporters please respond to this email or contact Belinda Limon at 713.305.5998 or belinda.limon@gmail.com.
.
If you're not able to join us at this event please know that, I still need your help and would appreciate your taking the opportunity to make a financial contribution to the Josefina M. Rendon Campaign either on-line below or by mail to 909 Kipling, Houston TX 77006.
Thank you again for your support!
Kind regards,
Josefina Rendon

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This is such an exciting time! With the results of the Texas Primary tabulated, our eyes are now turned towards November 4, 2008. This is the day that will determine the fate of our great nation for the next four years. It is also the day that we are going to turn Harris County Blue! I know that with your support we can bring democratic ideals home. The support has been palpable and the citizens of our great county are ready for change.
The Republicans have had a monopoly over the Harris County Judiciary for too long and it's time to restore balance to our courts. The diversity of our community should be recognized!
I wish I could personally thank the 227,586 voters who came out to the polls to show their support for me. With all of their help I received more than twice the votes of my opponent! If this is any indication of how the general election will go, November is going to be a great month.
But you can never be too sure nor too complacent. Please continue to support me and my campaign, along with the entire slate of Harris County Democrats. With your help we can compete in a strong and fair campaign. With your help we will win! Please contribute in any way you can.
I truly thank each and everyone of you,
Josefina
Early Voting
The March 4, 2008 Texas Primary Election is just around the corner! I am so thrilled to be on the ballot with such honorable Democratic candidates. As a judge and a judicial candidate, I am not allowed to endorse any candidate. However, I can urge all of you to vote in the Primary. We have so many amazing candidates and we need your support. Also, Texans will have the opportunity to make their voice heard in the selection of the Presidential Nominee. This is an amazing opportunity for Texans. Don't miss it! And Vote Democratic!
Early Voting begins on February 19, 2008 and will run until February 29, 2008, four days before the primary. If you can't vote early, the Primary will be held on March 4, 2008.
Thanks again,
Josefina
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! Hope you had a very special holiday season.
In December my son Daniel organized a campaign kickoff party at the Warehouse Live Studio. It was very successful and I thank those who attended and/or contributed. Following that, Ruben and I spent a wonderful Christmas and New Year with our extended family - now four generations worth with our newborn granddaughter.
After months of collecting petition signatures and organizing my campaign, I have officially filed for Judge of the 165th Civil District Court of Harris County! I am now again ready for the challenges of the campaign and I hope I can count on your support.
I just came from a "Turn Texas Blue" campaign seminar. The enthusiasm was palpable. We're going to win! This, I believe, will bring the citizens of Harris County a better, more compassionate and highly qualified judiciary. I am just one of this wonderful group and I am proud of it.
2008 will be a historic year that will finally turn Texas and Harris County Blue once again.
We can do it with your support.
Thanks again,
Josefina
Just a Little Thank You...
Coming into the week after Thanksgiving, I want to thank all of you who have offered their support since I announced my candidacy for the 165th Civil District Court in Harris County. I hope you had a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving Day.
In our almost 35 years of marriage Ruben and I have had many things to be thankful for. This Thanksgiving we have one more reason to feel blessed and thankful. Just a few days ago our daughter Raquel and our son-in-law Eddie made Ruben and me grandparents for the first time. Our granddaughter Katherine Lee Brito (Kaylee) weighed just below 7 pounds and is definitely a beautiful baby! After a short scare and stay in intensive care she is now at home with her parents.
I also feel blessed for having so many friends and supporters to share this news with. Thanks again!
Sincerely,
Josefina Muniz Rendon
